[Ladakh] Guide to Applying for Indian E-Visa Online

Introduction

Welcome, and congratulations on beginning your journey to India. Now Vcil Community will guide you through the process of applying for an Indian visa. For Vietnamese citizens, a visa is mandatory when entering India. In recent years, you only need to apply for an e-visa on the website of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of India - the process is very simple.

To apply for an e-visa, you need to access the official website of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of India: https://indianvisaonline.gov.in/

Once you enter the website, follow these steps:

Step 1: Click "Apply for e-Visa"

Look for the application link on the website and click to proceed with the application.

Step 2: Select your visa type

Choose the type of e-visa you need. For tourists, you would typically select "Tourist visa" which allows you to stay for 60 days.

Step 3: Fill in personal information

Provide your personal details including full name, date of birth, passport number, and other required information.

Step 4: Upload your documents

You will need to upload:

• A digital photograph (4x6 cm, in JPEG format)
• A scan of your passport's biographical page
• A scan of your current address proof (utility bill, bank statement, etc.)

Step 5: Pay the visa fee

The e-visa fee can be paid online using a credit card or debit card. The cost varies depending on the validity period you choose.

Step 6: Submit your application

Review all your information carefully before submitting. Once submitted, you will receive a reference number for tracking your application.

Processing Time

The e-visa is typically processed within 3-5 business days. You will receive your e-visa via email. Print a copy to present at the airport upon arrival in India.

Important Notes:

• Your passport must be valid for at least 6 months from your travel date
• The e-visa is valid for single or multiple entries depending on the type you apply for
