[RIE] Unschooling Cùng Manish Jain

Unschooling is an educational approach that trusts in the natural curiosity and learning capacity of children. Rather than imposing a standardized curriculum, unschooling allows children to learn through their own interests, real-world experiences, and interactions with their community.

Manish Jain is one of the leading figures in alternative education movements in India and globally. Through his organization Shikshantar: The Barefoot University, he has been pioneering unschooling and self-directed learning approaches for decades.

Key Principles of Unschooling:

  • Trust in children's natural learning instincts
  • Learning through real-world experiences and play
  • Child-led curriculum based on interests and questions
  • Community learning and mentoring relationships
  • Developing critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Cultivating creativity, compassion, and citizenship

Why Unschooling Matters: In a world of rapid change and uncertainty, standardized education systems struggle to prepare young people for meaningful lives. Unschooling develops adaptability, creativity, and the ability to navigate complexity - essential skills for the future.

Join Us for Learning: VCIL Community invites you to learn more about unschooling approaches and alternative education through workshops and discussions with Manish Jain and other educators.
