Call for Media/Filmmaker (KOL/KOC) – Vcil Travel School Japan 2026

Vcil Community is seeking a talented Media/Filmmaker (KOL/KOC or videographer) to join our Travel School Japan 2026 program and document the journey. This fully-supported role includes a scholarship covering the full program fee (850 USD) and visa invitation support; note that participants must cover their own flight tickets and participant breakfast/dinner costs. The chosen candidate will create video and photo content for internal reporting and public marketing (to be shared on Vcil’s channels and the candidate’s own platforms).

- Proficient in videography and photography (camera operation, lighting, editing).
- Strong storytelling and editing skills; ability to produce a 5–10 min highlight video and daily short clips.
- Experience as a content creator, journalist, vlogger or relevant field (experience in travel or social issues is a plus).
- Fluency in English; Vietnamese or Japanese skills are a bonus.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, and to commit fully to the program dates (May 16–23, 2026).
- A short documentary video (~5–10 min) summarizing key experiences.
- Daily or weekly social media edits (reels/shorts) and photos for Vcil’s channels.
- Written or filmed reflections for internal report (in English or Vietnamese).
- Creativity and quality of past work (portfolio).
- Relevance of experience (especially in travel, cultural or social topics).
- Social media/follower reach if applicant is a KOL/KOC.
- Communication skills and enthusiasm for Vcil’s mission.

- Share links to your portfolio or social media (video/film examples).
- Briefly describe (150–200 words) why you are a great fit for this role, and any travel or cultural experience.
